In mid 2009 Anna called one of our ZINK salons (on a very busy
Saturday!) and politely asked if there were any possibilities of
an appointment that day, of which she was assisted. Anna simply
booked in under her first name, but in knowing very well now,
she purposely did so. Upon arrival of her appointment, once her
consultation was complete and service was to commence, one of
the ZINK directors - a very keen cyclist himself -
recognised Anna and being aware of her community contributions
was determined that ZINK should offer their
support to Anna on her amazing journey towards the 2012 London
Olympic Games.
Our newly adopted South Australian World Champion athlete has
an upmost amazing ability to touch and help children. Anna was
honoured to have recently become an ambassador for the
McGuinness/McDermott foundation, and in knowing Anna’s
commitments and contributions, in the past, present and future,
it was without hesitation ZINK support this
amazing athlete.
Some words from Anna...
“I am going to become involved not only by meeting with the
children and their families but also as an extension of the
physical rehabilitation program by taking the children and their
families for rides along the river Torrens or out on the
velodrome, Something I very much look forward to.
I am also participating in the Survivorship Service’s art
therapy program. This program gives children living with cancer
a fun way to express their emotions, release stress and regain
their confidence. I am painting a piece which will be auctioned
by the MMF to raise much needed funds for this great program.” ZINK
are excited and honoured to be
affiliated with, and support a true world champion on and off the
track...........She is simply GOLD!

Dean Canto, a most highly sort, accomplished and well respected
V8 Supercar driver in Australia. ZINK - the element of hair were
simply amazed in finding out the work Dean does off the track
with children and people who have come into contact, or
contracted Alopecia.
ZINK left no stone unturned when finding out that Dean is an
Ambassador for the Princess Charlotte Alopecia foundation, and
with ZINK having come across a contingency of alopecia affected
clients within there salons, and it was inevitable that we got
behind our newly adopted South Australian V8 Supercar Champion
and his family, in supporting them with there wonderful
contributing work, and efforts for the Alopecia affected and
associated foundations, as well as supporting Dean within his
profession. One needs only meet Dean to understand and
experience the effect this fine young talented man has with
people, not only in his generosity, but in the time he makes and
gives for the Alopecia affected, whilst living his life in the
fast lane.
ZINK - the element of hair are very proud to be affiliated and a
supporter of Dean, wife Erin and his family, for there ongoing
time and efforts in support and of being wonderful Ambassadors
for Alopecia awareness and its Foundations. ZINK - the element of
hair will continue to support Dean and Erin in their quest of
Alopecia awareness and its supportive foundations, but also that
of Dean’s V8 Supercar racing profession.
